Andy J Hanna
Andy is the Managing Director of PanAfrican Energy Tanzania Ltd (PAET), an IOC responsible for producing and selling gas from the Songo Songo field which contributes to approximately 50% of Tanzania’s total power generation and sustains more than 40 industries throughout Dar es Salaam. Following a career spanning four decades in the public sector where he led engineering projects around the world, Andy joined Orca Exploration Group (PAETs parent company) in 2021, filling a number of roles before being transferred to Tanzania. Since joining PAET, he has played an integral role in the development and delivery of strategic and operational level plans for the company, while taking a lead role in the management of complex senior stakeholder issues in Tanzania. Andrew has a background in electronic and civil engineering. He has a Masters Degree in Military Science from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, and a Member of the Institute of Royal Engineers. He assumed the role of Vice Chairman of OGAT in February 2020.

Richard Tainton is the Senior Vice President International for Wentworth Resources. Mr. Tainton holds an MSc Mining Engineering Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He has over 25 years’ of experience with diverse engineering projects around the world including gas and power development projects. He has particular expertise with project management in developing economies, and in particular with the development and management of integrated gas-to-power projects.Recently, Mr. Tainton served as Project Director for Manitoba Hydro International in Afghanistan working with the Afghan National Power Corporation to improve the power situation in Kabul, and the development of gas wells in the Sheberghan Region of Northwest Afghanistan. Prior to this Mr. Tainton worked with Artumas Group in Tanzania. During this time he was involved with the construction and operation of gas supply, power generation, and electricity distribution infrastructure, serving towns and villages in the Mtwara regions of southern Tanzania.

Unni Merethe Skorstad Fjaer
Vice President Operation for Equinor Canada from 2018 to end of 2020 and acting Country Manager for Canada since May 2020. Prior to taking on this role, Unni held the position as Equinor’s location manager in Hammerfest, Norway, responsible for the company’s LNG production. Previously, Unni held several positions within Equinor, including as a platform manager offshore Norway and HR manager for operations Mid-Norway. Prior to joining Equinor, Unni was working as a researcher in SINTEF.
