Andy is the Managing Director of PanAfrican
Energy Tanzania Ltd (PAET), an IOC responsible for producing and selling gas
from the Songo Songo field which contributes to approximately 50% of Tanzania’s
total power generation and sustains more than 40 industries throughout Dar es
Salaam. Following a career spanning four
decades in the public sector where he led engineering projects around the world,
Andy joined Orca Exploration Group (PAETs parent company) in 2021, filling a
number of roles before being transferred to Tanzania. Since joining PAET,
he has played an integral role in the development and delivery of strategic and
operational level plans for the company, while taking a lead role in the
management of complex senior stakeholder issues in Tanzania. Andrew has
a background in electronic and civil engineering. He has a Masters Degree
in Military Science from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, is a
Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, and a Member of the Institute of
Royal Engineers. He assumed the role of Vice Chairman of OGAT in February
2020.
